The High Mountain Meadow Poetry Series

On Sunday, March 8, 2020 the High Mountain Meadow Poetry Series will meet in the Wayne Public Library Meeting Room at 2:00 pm.

March’s featured poets will be Ryan Black and Denise La Neve, with an Open Mic session following.

This Series is sponsored by the North Jersey Literary Community and hosted by Denise La Neve and Paul Nash. This program is supported by the Wayne Public Library and is free and open to the public.

Ryan Black is the author of The Tenant of Fire (University of Pittsburgh Press), winner of the 2018 Agnes Lynch Starrett Prize, and Death of a Nativist, selected by Linda Gregerson for a Poetry Society of America Chapbook Fellowship. He has published previously in AGNI, Blackbird, Ploughshares, The Southern Review, Virginia Quarterly, and elsewhere, and has received fellowships and scholarships from the Adirondack Center for Writing, The Millay Colony for the Arts, PLAYA, the Sewanee Writers Conference, the Queens Council on the Arts, and the T.S. Eliot House. He is an Assistant Professor of English at Queens College of the City University of New York. Denise La Neve writes both poetry and fiction. She was a contributor and editor for the 2010 and 2016 “Poets of the Palisades” anthologies Beyond the Rift and META-LAND (both published by The Poet’s Press www.poetspress.org/).

The final work has appeared in Quill and Parchment, Exit 13, The Istanbul Literary Review, Sensations Magazine, The Red Wheelbarrow Anthology, and Platform Review. She co-hosts two poetry series under the umbrella of the North Jersey Literary Community (The Poets of the Palisades in Teaneck, and The High Mountain Meadow in Wayne).

The Wayne Public Library is a barrier free building and meets all ADA regulations.
