WAYNE, NJ – The official Wayne Township Documentary Hills and Valleys: A Journey Through Wayne is having its last free showing tonight at Wayne Valley High School at 6:30pm.
The event is free, but filmmaker Paul Bastante is asking that attendees bring something for the Wayne Interfaith Network Food Pantry to help feed Wayne’s hungry.
Adults will receive a drink voucher after the showing for a free drink at the Village Inn.
The movie itself is a full-length feature documentary that details the rich history and amazing settings in Wayne. From Washington’s stay at the Dey Mansion to one of Wayne’s most famous residents: the racehorse Preakness, to the man who created the crème in the Oreo cookie; From Laurelwood Arboretum to the YMCA. Everyone who has seen the film says that they learned something new about their beloved hometown.
If you want to donate to the food pantry and cannot make it to the film tonight, a drop-off box is located at the Realty Executives front door located at 1501 Hamburg Turnpike in Wayne. The food drive is on until December 6th.
