This Tuesday, March 3, the Wayne YMCA will be celebrating the YMCA’s Day of Giving, a one-day giving event geared to providing an opportunity to support the ‘Y For All’ scholarship program.
The Wayne YMCA has set a one day goal of raising $2,500 with an overall goal of $120,000 to support children and families in Wayne and surrounding communities.
“The YMCA Day of Giving is a great way to help even more people to get stronger, live healthier, and become more connected to our community,” explained Wayne YMCA Executive Director Laura Tiedge. “We are looking forward to engaging our members and others to help change lives.”
Started in 2015, the YMCA Day of Giving was created by the YMCA of Northwest North Carolina and championed in 2018 by the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas. This is the first year that Ys from across the United States have joined forces for a one-day philanthropy event.
On Tuesday, March 3rd, the Y’s staff team will be available to discuss the YMCA Day of Giving and help with making donations. And 100% of all donations go to supporting the Y for All Financial Assistance Program so families, children, and adults who cannot afford the Y’s programs and services can experience the Y.
