WAYNE, NJ – The final count of votes for Wayne Town Council and Board of Education, including provisional ballots and all write-in ballots, have all been completed.

Three tight races that were too close to call were the Ward One and Ward Three Town Council races as well as the third Board of Education seat.  Here are there results:

Ward One:

  • Arlene Sullivan: 525 – 48.30%
  • Richard Jasterzbski: 561 – 51.61%

Ward Three:

  • Karen Dowicz-Haas: 953 – 48.95%
  • Franco Mazzei: 993 – 51%

Board of Education:

  • James Fera: 636 – 32.28%
  • Dawn Kumar: 707 – 35.89%

As reported by TAPinto Wayne, the winners of the other election contests are:

  • Ward Two: Al Sadowski
  • Ward Four: Joe Scuralli
  • Ward Five: Fran Ritter
  • BOE: Michael Bubba and Suzanne Pudup

The results are still considered unofficial until the Passaic County Clerk certifies them, which will likely happen today or early this week.
