WAYNE, NJ - Sometime around 9:00pm on Thursday, September 19 on Route 80 West near the intersection of Route 23, Motorcyclist, Joseph Yurga of Pequannock Township struck a deer on the highway, crashing his 1996 Harley Davidson. "Yurga was transported to St. Joseph's University Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries," announced Wayne Police Chief James Clarke. 

Eight days earlier, musician James "Jim" DeSalvo, who was riding his bike was struck by the wheel of a dump truck that had come loose and rolled down Black Oak Ridge Rd in Wayne. 

From the Recovery Fund For Jim DeSalvo Family GoFundMe page, Organizer Ruth Ozbolt Cleary wrote: "Today Jim remains in a coma, hooked up to life support, as his family is working tirelessly behind the scenes to both understand his condition and work with doctors to examine all options and scenarios for his care and comfort."
