WAYNE, NJ – At 9:55am on September 30, the TD Bank branch on the corner of Valley Road and MacDonald Drive (across from the Carvel) triggered their panic alarm. The Wayne Police responded, arriving in minutes. However, the thief had fled before they arrived.

A joint investigation was conducted by the Wayne Police Department, the Passaic County Sherriff’s Department and the FBI, which led to the apprehension of the suspect in Little Falls the same day. 

“Philip Mcgrantham, age 69 was arrested and charged with first-degree robbery and fourth-degree theft,” said Detective Captain Christian Wittig of the Wayne Police Department. “Mr. Mcgrantham will be detained at Passaic County Jail pending his Central Judicial Processing Court Appearance.”
