FAIRFIELD, NJ— Allwood Forlenza Agency announced on Wednesday that its second annual Toys for Tots campaign has officially begun. The local insurance company will accept donations until Dec. 15 at its office in Fairfield, located on 110 Little Falls Road.
Donations may be dropped off during regular business hours Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. and on Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 4 p.m. All donated toys must be new and unwrapped. They will be distributed to local non-profits and subsequently gifted to children in need.
According to the Toys for Tots website, the mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is "to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November, and December each year.” The toys are then distributed as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.
“We first did Toys for Tots last year as an office as a way to give back and this year decided to become a drop off location for the community," Jessica Forlenza, account executive at Allwood Forlenza Agency. “Our Agency would like to consider ourselves as part of the community and we see this as a way to help out the community and do something for those less fortunate during the holidays.”
