NORTH CALDWELL, NJ - West Essex scored all its runs in the second inning and hung on for a 4-3 baseball victory over Science Park on Friday.

The Knights dealt Science Park starting pitcher Yariel Levin (7-0), one of the top winners on Essex County, his first loss of the season.

Zac Balz went 3-for-3 with a run scored and Ian McLaughlin highlighted the four-run second inning with an two-run single for West Essex (11-10). Max Ruvo also singled in a run in the uprising.

McLaughlin allowed just three hits and an unearned run in four innings pitched, striking out five and walking none, for the victory. Science Park is 16-4.
