NORTH CALDWELL, NJ - The West Essex baseball team took control with a four-run fourth inning and went on to record a 10-5 victory over Glen Ridge on Thursday.

Scott Barlow drove in three runs with a double and two singles for West Essex (7-4), which took a 9-3 lead after plating four runs in the fourth inning. Matt Cesare went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI and two runs scored for the Knights.

Zac Balz also finished with three hits, including a double, and scored three times. Max Ruvo scored three runs and banged out a pair of hits for West Essex.

Winning pitcher Ian McLaughlin went the first five innings, allowing three runs, and he also singled in a run at the plate.
