WEST CALDWELL, NJ — Brian Clarkin, Sean Kinney and Danny Cavallo played key roles in the James Caldwell boys basketball team’s 55-49 victory over North Star Academy Saturday on their home court.

Clarkin and Kinney were the top scorers with 13 points apiece to Cavallo’s 10 throughout the game. Patrick Maguire added eight points.

The Chiefs were down, 31-26, going into the second half and did not secure the lead until the fourth quarter. Caldwell outscored North Star, 20-10, in the fourth to take home the win.

The boys will take on Belleville in an away game  on Tuesday.
