WEST CALDWELL, NJ - The Caldwell boys basketball team bolted to a 17-point first-quarter lead and went on to a 43-28 victory over Technology Thursday afternoon.

Sean Kinney scored 10 points for Caldwell (4-9), which outscored Technology, 19-2, in the opening quarter.

Jason Costa had eight points for the Chiefs, which saw their lead whittled to six by halftime before regaining control of matters with a 9-4 third quarter.
