WEST CALDWELL, NJ - The Caldwell boys lacrosse team advanced in the state tournament with a 6-3 victory over Bernards in the quarterfinal round of the NJSIAA South Jersey, Group 1 tournament on Saturday.

Anthony Costigan scored three goals for Caldwell (14-5), which had a 3-0 lead at the half. James T. Miller had one goal and two assists, Vincent D'Agostino totaled one goal and one assist, and Kyle Ross also scored for the Chiefs, whose Matt Fermo prevailed on seven out of 10 faceoffs.

Ethan Caldwell, Jack Warren and Mike Parisi each scored a goal for the Mountaineers (10-9).
