MONTCLAIR, NJ - The West Essex boys lacrosse team scored five unanswered goals in the third period to erase a one-goal deficit en route to a 9-7 victory over Montclair-Kimberley Academy on Saturday.

Pat Dingwell and Jake Evangelista each contributed two goals and two assists, and Tom Pescatore also scored two goals for the Knights (1-1), whose 5-0 blitz in the third period gave them a 9-5 lead.

Jack Cerza had a goal and an assist, Zach Lemanski scored once, and Zack Kearney and Will Perez each contributed one assist for West Essex, which outshot MKA, 17-15. Dan Laible made eight saves for West Essex.
