CALDWELL, NJ -- The Caldwell boys swim team turned in a dominating performance last week to outscore West Essex, 115-49, for its first victory of the season last week.
Phillip Krupp, Ben Endersby, Finn Coogan-Russell and Griffin Roughgarden of Caldwell swam the 200-meter relay in 1:48.03 to win that event. Caldwell won the 200-meter freestyle relay with Roughgarden, Rob Mattesky, Coogan-Russell and Endersby clocking in at 1:31.26. The Chiefs made it a clean sweep of the relay events as Andrew McLaughlin, Mattesky, Tom Nappi and Phillip Krupp took the 400 freestyle relay in 3:53.01.
Endersby won the 200-meter intermediate in 2:04.38 and the 100-meter breaststroke in 1:00.38. Coogan-Russell won the 50 freestyle in 23.57 and the 100 fly in 0:57.54. Roughgarden won the 100-meter freestyle in 0:54.57. Krupp captured the 100-meter backstroke in 1:03.24.
