CALDWELL, NJ — One of the Caldwell Merchants Association’s (CMA) most successful events of the year, Caldwell Restaurant Week, is now in full swing and will continue through Aug. 14, featuring many local restaurants on the Bloomfield Avenue strip.

This is the current list of participating restaurants that will offer prix fixe menus and specials for residents and non-residents to experience the variety of local flavor throughout the week. Some of the specials are included in the description:

Asalt and Buttery: A local bakeshop, located at 346 Bloomfield Ave., known for its wide variety of French macarons, cupcakes, cookies and more.

Bangkok Kitchen: A BYOB, family-owned Thai restaurant, located at 391 Bloomfield Ave., with contemporary decor & a menu of Thai favorites, plus lunch specials.

Caldwell Seafood Market & Café: A 60-year-old restaurant, located at 390 Bloomfield Ave., that prides itself on continuing to carry on a longstanding tradition of offering only the very finest and freshest seafood. Thursday and Friday, Caldwell Seafood will offer 1 1/2 lb lobster dinners for $20 each, dine in or take out.

Cloverleaf Tavern: A local pub at 395 Bloomfield Ave. offering American fare, dozens of beers and a popular brunch buffet since 1933. Cloverleaf Tavern will offer $10 two-course lunches and $25 three-course dinners during Restaurant Week.

Dave's Delicious Deli: A Caldwell-based deli located at 275 Bloomfield Ave. offering a variety of lunch and dinner specials throughout Restaurant Week.

Di Sopra Restaurant: A local restaurant located at 373 Bloomfield Ave. also offering a pre-fix menu that includes one appetizer, one entrée and one dessert for $23.95 per person during Restaurant Week.

Dough Artisan Pizzeria: An intimate eatery located at 437 Bloomfield Ave. offering creative brick-oven pies made with local ingredients, plus a patio. Dough is offering a three-course-dinner menu at $24.95 per person for the remainder of the week and also has both vegan and gluten-free options.

Fat Fish Taco: A coastal-inspired Mexican restaurant located at 291 Bloomfield Ave. Restaurant Week lunches and dinners at Fat Fish Taco include three tacos, chips and salsa and a soda for $15.

Fresco Market and Catering: Caldwell's new gourmet market, located at 115 Bloomfield Ave., featuring gourmet-prepared foods, fresh and organic salads and expert catering. Restaurant Week specials include: two house pies, a large house salad and a two-liter soda for $18.99 plus free delivery; or family dinner of ½ tray of chicken parmesan, fresh bread and a house salad for $34.99 including free delivery.

Gelotti of Caldwell: A home-made ice cream shop offering BOGO on dessert, with a valid receipt from a participating Restaurant, and will also be introducing flavors throughout the week, inspired by neighbors and friends throughout Restaurant Week.

InspirationRoll Caldwell: The first sushi restaurant in the area to offer Sushi Burritos and Ramen, located at 405 Bloomfield Ave. In addition to introducing new items throughout Restaurant Week, Inspiration Roll is offering free baos with any order of $25 or $2 off in any $10 purchase.

La Famiglia Ristorante & Pizzeria: A home cooking family restaurant located at 395 Bloomfield Ave. with signature dishes like pork chops with vinegar peppers, veal Milanese, lobster ravioli and angel hair shrimp and broccoli rabe.

Mike's Falafel: Mike’s Falafel, one of the only West Caldwell restaurants participating in Caldwell Restaurant Week, serves high-quality falafels, gyros, smoothies, kabobs and fresh juices and is located at 669 Bloomfield Ave.  

Taqueria Las Mexicanas: An authentic Mexican restaurant located at 408 Bloomfield Ave. Pre-fixed menu this week includes two combo options: burrito, chips and salsa, soda and a churro for $12.25; or quesadilla, soda, chips and salsa, and flan or arroz con leche for $13.25.

Xunta Tapas Espana: Xunta, an authentic Spanish/Basque and Tapas Bar located at 392 Bloomfield Ave., is offering a special four-course meal for $26.95 per person as part of its special Prix Fixe menu this week.

The Borough of Caldwell is also full of free municipal parking year-round, making Caldwell Restaurant Week one of the most easily accessible Restaurant Weeks around.

According to John Lee, Director of CMA and Community Events, who was echoed by the owners of many participating restaurants like Dough and Gelotti, Caldwell Restaurant Week is intended to encourage and promote eating locally.
