CALDWELL, NJ – The Caldwell University women’s track and field team has two performances on the Division II East Region top eight lists, according to the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. Sophomore sprinter Courtney Macaluso (Hopatcong, NJ/Hopatcong) and the Cougars’ 4x400 meter relay team have posted times that rank in the top eight in the region through Apr. 13.

Macaluso has won the 100 meters at both of her meets so far this season. She set the school record with a time of 12.41 seconds in winning the Oscar Moore Open at Rowan University on Apr. 1. Macaluso went on to win the finals at the Coach P Invitational with a time of 12.40.

The 4x400 meter relay team of senior Victoria dos Santos (Maplewood, NJ/Columbia), junior Taylor Landis (Middletown, NJ/Middletown South) and freshmen Victoria Thaler (Millville, NJ/Millville) and Christina Campos (Bloomfield, NJ/Mother Seton) placed third at the Coach P Invitational with a time of 4:11.02, the region’s seventh fastest time this season.
