Caldwell's Toby Santoro to be Recognized at the 2015 Essex County Italian-American Heritage Month Celebration

NEWARK, NJA Special Recognition Award will be presented to Toby Santoro, a 102-year-old Caldwell resident who has competed in bocce and bowling competitions in the New Jersey Senior Olympics at the 2015 Essex County Italian-American Heritage Month celebration on Oct. 9 at 12 p.m., at the Essex County Hall of Records, First Floor Lobby, 465 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., in Newark. 

In addition, Patty Spango, former Councilwoman of West Orange, the newly appointed Essex County Deputy Superintendent of Elections/Deputy Commissioner of Registration, and Dr. Frank A. Cocchiola, Jr. will be recognized as “Stellas della Contea di Essex” (Stars of Essex County). Cocchiola is a retired educator and administrator who served as Interim Superintendent of the Essex County Vocational-Technical School District for the past two years.

The honor recognizes them for their commitment to improving the lives of all residents, their leadership, and dedication to public service.
