FAIRFIELD, NJ - The Fairfield Police Department announces the arrest of Gerald Ikezi (30) of Addisleigh, N.Y. for possessing stolen property on April 2, 2013.

At approximately 9:15 A.M., Officer Brian Sabatelli observed a 2000 Hyundai on Plymouth street that was allegedly not displaying a license plate. Ikezi was then placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters and the vehicle he was operating impounded.

Along with being charged with one count of receiving stolen property, Ikezi was also charged with improper display of a license plate, unregistered vehicle, uninsured vehicle and failure to exhibit documents. He was released on his own recognizance with an initial court appearance date of April 4, 2013 scheduled in the Fairfield Municipal Court.

It should be noted that the charges against him are merely allegations and that he is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
