Fairfield Volunteer Fire Department to Host Annual Pancake Breakfast Sunday

FAIRFIELD, NJ — The Fairfield Volunteer Fire Department will host its 39th annual “all-you-can-eat” Exempt Fireman’s Association Pancake Breakfast on Sunday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Recreation Hall behind the Plymouth Street Firehouse, located at 5 Commerce Road.

The members of the Fairfield Volunteer Fire Department ask guests to bring their appetite for unlimited pancakes, sausages, coffee, milk, tea and orange juice with family and local neighbors, served by the volunteer firefighters. Tickets for the breakfast are available at the door the day of the event at a cost of $6 for adults and $4 for kids.

Weather permitting, children and parents can have a firsthand look at the fire trucks, firefighting equipment and rescue equipment the Fairfield Volunteer Firefighters use when responding to emergency calls.

NJ Governor Signs Executive Order to Fly Flags at Half-Staff to Recognize Parkland Florida Victims

New Jersey Governor Phillip D. Murphy signed Executive Order No.1 on Monday ordering the flag of the United States of America and the Flag of the State of New Jersey to be flown at half-staff to recognize and mourn the passing of the victims in Parkland, FL.

The order is for all state offices, agencies and municipalities, including schools for Tuesday, Feb. 20.

Notice of Budget Meeting for Borough of North Caldwell

NORTH CALDWELL, NJ — The mayor and council of the Borough of North Caldwell will hold a Budget Meeting and Capital Budget Meeting on Tuesday, March 6, at 6 p.m. for discussion on the 2018 Municipal Budget and 2018 Capital Budget.  

This meeting will be held in the Municipal Building, 141 Gould Avenue in North Caldwell.  Action May Be Taken.
