Fairfield's Valero Gas Station Sells $50,000 Lottery Ticket

FAIRFIELD, NJ — Valero Fairfield, a gas station located at 650 Route 46 East, became a “lucky location” on Wednesday after selling a third-tier winning New Jersey Lottery ticket worth $50,000. The retailer was one of four in Essex County to sell a winning ticket worth $50,000.

The other three included:

  • Krauszers Liquor Locker, 645 Bloomfield Ave., Verona;
  • Quick Mart Food Store, 172 South Livingston Ave., Livingston; and

According to Carole Hedinger, New Jersey Lottery executive director, the 21st draw proved lucky for the owner(s) of one Massachusetts Lottery ticket that matched all of the numbers drawn winning the $758.7 million Powerball jackpot on Wednesday.

In New Jersey, she said two tickets were sold that matched the five white balls, winning the $1,000,000 second prize. In addition, 26 New Jersey Lottery tickets were sold that matched the four white balls and the Powerball drawn, winning the $50,000 third prize. Two of those tickets were purchased with Power Play, multiplying the prize to $200,000.

The winning numbers for this drawing were: 06, 07, 16, 23 and 26. The Red Power Ball number was 04. The Multiplier number was 04.
