Football: Caldwell Crushes Montville, 38-7

WEST CALDWELL, NJ - Brian Clarkin completed 18 of 23 passes for 275 yards and three touchdowns to James T. Miller to steer Caldwell to a 38-7 victory over Montville on Friday night.

Caldwell (4-1) built a 24-0 lead by halftime, with Clarkin connecting with Miller on TD passes of 73, 3 and 59 yards. Miller finished with eight catches for 184 yards.

Anthony Costigan kicked a 21-yard field goal and scored on a 1-yard run for the Chiefs. Joe Jenkins ran 26 yards for a Caldwell TD in the third quarter. Jenkins totaled 76 yards on 11 carries. Costigan was 10-for-73 on the ground. TJ Sheehan caught eight passes for 59 yards in the victory.

Caldwell's defense included sacks from Kyle Schaffer and Nick Christopher, and five tackles apiece for Costigan and Frank Mondsini.
