WEST CALDWELL, NJ - Anthony Costigan and Brian King each scored three touchdowns to lead Caldwell to a 37-15 victory over Whippany Park in the opening round of the Section 2, Group 2 state playoffs Friday night.

Costigan rushed for 125 yards and three TDs on just six carries, and King caught three TD passes covering a total of 45 yards for Caldwell (8-2), which led, 22-7, at halftime. Two of King's TD catches came from James T. Miller and one from Brian Clarkin.

Brian King and Shaun Rauschenberger each recovered a fumble for the Chiefs, who defeated Whippany Park for the second time in three weeks. Caldwell had beaten Whippany Park, 29-7, in a regular-season game.
