Football: Caldwell Shuts Down Millburn, 35-0

MILLBURN, NJ - Brian Clarkin passed for three touchdowns and ran for another to steer Caldwell to a 35-0 football victory over Millburn on Saturday.

Clarkin connected with Pat Theobald on an 11-yard TD pass in the first quarter and then scored himself on a 15-yard keeper as the Chiefs (3-0) built a 14-0 lead by the end of the first quarter.

Caldwell scored its other three TDs in the third quarter, when Clarkin hit James T. Miller with a pair of scoring strikes covering 40 yards and 8 yards. Joe Jenkins plowed in for a 2-yard score in the quarter, as well.

Anthony Costigan, who kicked all five extra points, helps Caldwell shut down the Millburn offense with nine tackles to lead the Chiefs on the defensive end. Pat Theobald intercepted two Miller passes. Millburn is 1-2.
