Golf Outing to Raise Money for Youth Mission Programs

CALDWELL, NJ - The First Presbyterian Church at Caldwell is hosting a friendly golf tournament on May 27 at the Farmstead Golf and Country Club, which is located at 88 Lawrence Road in Lafayette Township, to raise money for the church’s youth mission projects. Money raised from the seventh annual golf outing will support junior and senior high students who go to Pittsburgh each summer to repair houses for the poor, sick and elderly; and an annual Christmas party held for women and children living in a domestic violence shelter, among other church-sponsored youth mission programs, youth music programs including choir tour.

Participants will start the day with a 12:00 p.m. lunch, followed by a 1:30 p.m. shotgun start. After an afternoon of golf, players will be able to enjoy a buffet dinner and cash bar. Golfers will play in groups of four, but one doesn’t have to have four people to register. If a participant is not a golfer, but would still like to support the fundraiser, he/she can come for dinner only at a cost of $45. To participate in the entire event, the cost is $150.

Rutgers Hikes Tuition, Student Fees for 2018-2019 Academic Year

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - Rutgers University Board of Governors this week approved a 2.3 percent hike in tuition and fees, as well as increases for dorm rooms and meals, for the 2018-2019 academic year.
