Grover Cleveland Middle School Announces January Students of the Month

Grover Cleveland Middle School (GCMS), Caldwell, Students of the Month for January 2014 are sixth grader Matthew Topolewski, seventh grader Olivia Alonso and eighth grader Justine Martinez. To be nominated as Student of the Month, students must achieve academic success, exhibit appropriate behavior, possess a positive and friendly attitude, be genuine in that they are understanding, honest, and caring, and be a creative thinker. WEST CALDWEL, NJ - To be nominated as Student of the Month at Grover Clevelend Middle School, Caldwell, students must achieve academic success, exhibit appropriate behavior, possess a positive and friendly attitude, be genuine in that they are understanding, honest, and caring, and be a creative thinker. The students that have achieved this honor for January 2014 are sixth grader Matthew Topolewski, seventh grader Olivia Alonso and eighth grader Justine Martinez.

“Matt is the type of student who tries his best each and every day,” said a teacher representative. “There is never a day that he is not smiling, and his enthusiasm is contagious. He is not afraid to lend a hand to help his classmates or his teacher. He is polite, courteous, and exhibits a true desire to learn and improve.”

Added a seventh-grade teacher representative, “Olivia is one of the most cheerful students that I have encountered in a long time. She is a good student who works hard and tries her best. She is a caring student who is always ready to help others.”

“Justine is very respectful in class and always responds with great insight,” said an eight-grade teacher. “She tries very hard and always does great work. She works well with others and is always willing to help a classmate."
