ROSELLE, NJ - West Essex scored three goals in the first period and went on to a 6-3 ice hockey victory over A.L. Johnson Wednesday night.
Peter Andolino scored two goals and had two assists for West Essex (2-4-1), which led, 3-0, after one period and 5-1 after two periods.
Dylan Huff also scored two goals for the Knights, who got single goals from Alex Laglia and Jack Santoro. Patrick Coyle and Connor Hapward chipped in with two assists apiece. Sammy Friedman had one assist.
Although West Essex allowed just three goals, Hannah Podvey was tested often and the Knights' goalie finished with 33 saves.
