WEST CALDWELL, NJ — Two student athletes from James Caldwell High School, Phoebe Bledsoe and Caroline Rubin, recently signed their “Letters of Intent” to play soccer at the collegiate level at Montclair State University and The College of New Jersey (TCNJ), respectively.

Girls soccer head coach Mike Teshkoyan said Bledsoe and Rubin are “outstanding leaders, good role models and excellent teammates.”

“They inspired and motivated our team to one of our best years ever, winning 13 games in our tough SEC conference,” he said. “They made it fun for the girls to come to practice and their spirit, encouragement and determination led us to many comeback, last minute and OT victories.”

Teshkoyan said he is proud of both girls’ efforts and is extremely honored that they are going on to play at the collegiate level.

“That's not an easy journey, but both worked hard to get to where they are without cutting any corners and deserve success at the next level,” he said. “The coaching staff and the returning players will keep their good examples in their hearts and their legacies will live on for many years to come. We all wish them well and will be looking forward to seeing them play at TCNJ and MSU.”

A Special Thank You For Helping Us Weather The Storm

June 18, 2018

An act of God, apparently a “microburst,” tore through our front yard, and uprooted an approximately 19,000 pound tree. The tree fell into my 8 month old’s bedroom destroying the entire structure of our home.

My husband, with what I call divine intervention, told us to go ...
