A teacher from James Caldwell High School, Adriana Podvesker, has been named Educator of the Year for 2015 by Essex Lodge No. 7 of Free and Accepted Masons.

Each year, staff and students are asked to nominate a teacher for the honor. This year, Podvesker received the most votes from both peers and students, and been awarded the honor by the local lodge.

“I am both honored and extremely touched to have been selected for this award by both my students and my peers," Podvesker said. "To have these two groups of people elect to nominate me for this honor is incredible, and to win the award is just wonderful."
