FAIRFIELD, NJ — Four local juveniles, whose identities are being withheld due to their ages, were recently charged with burglary, theft, criminal mischief and conspiracy to commit burglary for an incident that occurred at the Fairfield Community Pool, according to the Fairfield Police Department.

According to police, the incident involved five chairs being thrown into the pool, towels being thrown around the property and approximately $28 stolen from an office area.

After the incident was reported to police, detectives immediately obtained leads regarding the identity of the actors when one or more of them posted themselves jumping into the pool with the chairs on a social media site, police said.

As a result, the individuals were all identified and eventually charged. The case was forwarded to the Family Court in Essex County for disposition. The investigation was conducted by Detective Robert Sanger.
