ROSELAND, NJ — Roseland police charged a motorist with leaving the scene of an accident on Tuesday after police said he sideswiped another car in a parking lot and drove off.

The motorist clipped a side mirror, knocking it off, according to police, and left the Eisenhower Parkway shopping center following the incident after 9:40 a.m.

No one was injured in the incident. Police quickly issued an alert and police in East Hanover stopped the motorist minutes later on Route 10, authorities said.

Police said the motorist faces additional motor vehicle violations.
