Mountain Ridge Country Club President Named to Top 22 in United States


WEST CALDWELL, NJ Serving as president of Mountain Ridge Country Club in West Caldwell from 2012 to 2016, John Fanburg, a Livingston resident and managing member of the Roseland-based law group Brach Eichler LLC, was recently named by BoardRoom magazine as one of the Top 22 Private Club Presidents for 2016.

BoardRoom magazine, the official publication of the Association of Private Club Directors and the Distinguished Clubs, honors board presidents worldwide through a nomination and selection process. In its ninth year, the annual award program recognized the role that board presidents play in the professional operations of their clubs.

“I am so pleased to have been honored this year by The BoardRoom,” said Fanburg. “More than anything, the award reaffirms how special Mountain Ridge Country Club, its staff and its members are.  It has been a true honor to serve as its president.”

During his tenure, Fanburg oversaw several golf course projects, including the renovation of several holes and greens.  He also expanded the club’s membership and established a Strategic Plan Committee whose goal is to address current and anticipated needs of the club’s membership.

In addition to serving as the club’s president and as managing member of his firm, Fanburg is a also member of Brach Eichler's Management Committee and chair of its health law practice group. 

According to the firm, he has more than 30 years of experience and has consistently been listed in Chambers USA (2008 – 2016); among The Best Lawyers in America (2010-2016) and among New Jersey Super Lawyers (2010- 2016). He was also named as the "Newark Area Best Lawyers Health Care Lawyer of the Year" for 2011 and 2012 and has been peer review rated as AV Preeminent 5.0 out of 5, the highest rating for professional excellence by Martindale-Hubbell.
