NORTH CALDWELL, NJ — In its newly released 2019 “Best Schools” list, national educational research and rankings firm Niche has placed West Essex Public Schools No. 26, and ranked West Essex High School No. 51 among traditional public high schools in the state.

Niche gave West Essex Public schools an overall letter grade of A+. The schools got an A for academics, A+ for teachers, A+ for clubs and activities, an A+ for college prep, and an A+ for sports but a C for diversity.

West Essex schools were rated the third-safest in New Jersey, and the fourth-best district in which to teach.

Niche said that its new release analyzes 3,904 private schools, 83,542 public schools and 10,758 school districts weighting factors like academics, culture and diversity, teachers and millions of student and parent reviews.
