MONTCLAIR, NJ — The North Essex Chamber of Commerce (NECC) welcomed current and new members at its Member Appreciation Night on Thursday, Feb. 11 at Just Jake’s in Montclair.

The evening was hosted by the NECC Board Members: President Holly Kaplansky (Minuteman Press), Immediate Past President Jo Ann Short (YMCA of Montclair), Executive Vice President Michael Daniels (AXA Advisors, Woodbridge), Membership Vice President Barbara Ruiz (C3 Workplace, Montclair), Programming VP Kaitlin Kurdyla (The Conference Center at Montclair State). Marketing VP Nina Tucker (Noesis Marketing, Montclair), and Directors Diana Longo (NEXT Financial Group, Fairfield) and Casey Carpenter (National Speakers Association).

That message was further expanded on by Short, who noted the organization is run 100 percent by volunteers working together and with the board of Directors.

In addition to thanking members for their on going meeting attendance and support, the board also welcomed new members:  Harry Kolbe and Jason Street (Integro Insurance, Montclair), Samuel A. Zamloot (A.C. Marmo & Sons Insurance and Financial Solutions, Fairfield), Dominic George and Diane Russell (Stanton Realty, Montclair), Gene Sower (Samson Media, Montclair) and Megan DeRitter (Femmebot a new clothing store opening in Montclair).

Don’t Complain; Vote!

It’s no secret that people have strong feelings about what’s happening in our country. It’s also true that much of politics is local.
