Public Invited to Participate in BCCLS Library "Key Hunt" Contest

WEST ESSEX, NJ - This summer 77 BCCLS libraries including the library in West Caldwell are inspiring readers of all ages with a “BCCLS Libraries Open Doors to a World of Possibilities” key hunt, where one adult (ages 18 and over) and one youth (ages 17 and under) will win an American Express Gift Card.

“Come have fun, explore new libraries, and join us in celebrating all that BCCLS libraries and the West Caldwell Library have to offer,” said a library representative. “Stop by and open our doors to a world of possibilities.”

Participants must visit at least 10 different BCCLS libraries, solve the clue on the Key Hunt poster, and find a ”special key” in each library. After finding the key, they will receive a stamp on their entry form from each library and be entered into a raffle drawing for a prize.

There will be two winners picked from eligible entries—one adult (18 and over) and one for those 17 and under. The prize in each category will be an American Express Gift Card. Participants must collect at least 10 stamps from different libraries in order to be entered into the raffle drawing.

Those who collect stamps on the Key Hunt from 25 different BCCLS libraries will be entitled to two entries into the contest.

Anyone who visits all 77 BCCLS libraries will get a third entry.

Let the Games Begin

I am truly awed by the Olympics.  Watching these superb young athletes on TV inspires me to renew my membership to the gym and pursue my lifelong dream of taking home the gold.

The problem is that in my deluded head, I can see actually see myself standing atop the podium.  I am wrapped in a puffy designer ski coat with a huge piece of bling slung around my neck ...
