Roseland Line A Democrats Commemorate Memorial Day

ROSELAND, NJ — On Memorial Day, Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Sheriff Armando Fontoura, and Roseland Councilman Christopher Bardi joined James Spango (candidate for Roseland Mayor), Eileen Fishman (Council Candidate), Roger Freda (Council Candidate), Roseland Democratic Chairman Julius Coltre and several Roseland Line “A” County Committee Candidates at Roseland Borough Hall for the VFW annual ceremony.  They all stressed the importance of supporting our veterans and remembering those that gave the ultimate sacrifice to our Country.

Councilman Bardi participated in the ceremony by placing a wreath at the monuments by the Point in front of Roseland Borough Hall.  He was joined by several members of the Roseland Police Department, Fire Department and First Aid Squad.  In addition, a representative of the Armed Forces joined veterans from The Roseland VFW to preside over the ceremony.

The Line “A” Democrats particularly want to recognize their running mates who have served our country.  Leading the Line “A” team is Mikie Sherrill, candidate for Congress in the 11th District. Sherrill is running with, and endorsing, the entire Line “A” team.  Sherrill is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and served as a Navy Helicopter Pilot.  Line “A” Sheriff Candidate Armando Fontoura served our country as a soldier in the United States Army.  Victor Rotonda, who is a member of the Democratic County Committee in District 5, was a member of the United States Reserve.

The Roseland Line “A” Democratic Team Consists of – James Spango for Mayor, Eileen Fishman & Roger Freda for Council and the following Members of the County Committee – District 1 John and Jennifer McGovern, District 2 Julius and Maureen Coltre, District 3 Christopher Bardi and Maria Jorge, District 4 George Meleas and Jessica Freda, District 5 Victor Rotunda and Maria Tutela, and District 6 Sanford and Eileen Fishman.  The Primary Election will be held on Tuesday, June 5th.  The Roseland Democrats will also be running together on the Line A team with  Robert Menendez for US Senate, Mikie Sherrill for Congress, Joseph DiVincenzo for Essex County Executive and Armando Fontoura for Essex County Sheriff.
