WEST CALDWELL, NJ -- Three members of the Caldwell boys soccer team have been named to the 2019 Super Essex Conference All-Liberty Division first team for 2019, and three other Chiefs players were selected to the second team just released this week.

Senior midfielder Ethan Layton, senior forward Carson Filion and senior midfielder Sam Mulick of Caldwell all were selected as first-teamers.

Layton helped his teammates with 13 assists and scored five goals himself. Filion scored 20 goals this season and racked up seven assists. Mulick was a key to the Chiefs' possession game with his strong play in the middle of the field.

Senior midfielder Jaden Pezzolla, senior goalie Frankie Crocco and senior back Sebastian Sciacca of Caldwell have been named to the Liberty Division second team.

Caldwell finished with a 15-7 record in 2019, reaching the semifinals rounds of both the Essex County Tournament and the Section 2, Group 2 tournament.
