WEST CALDWELL, NJ - The Caldwell softball team scored five runs in the first inning and went on to an 8-3 softball victory over Union on Thursday.

Anna Rowland had two hits and scored three runs, and Taylor Bryant went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI for Caldwell (12-7), which added a run in the second inning and two more in the sixth.

Winning pitcher Carlie Corrigan struck out five and walked one, and she doubled in a run at the plate.
