NORTH CALDWELL, NJ - Alexa Vardiman drove in four runs to power West Essex to a 10-1 softball victory over Livingston on Wednesday.

Vardiman went 2-for-4 with a double and a triple, and Sami Huetter was 3-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored for West Essex (3-0), which broke the contest open with five runs in the fourth inning to take a 7-0 lead.

Huetter also excelled in the pitching circle, where she spun a three-hitter with seven strikeouts and one walk. Lilly James, Amanda Schwartz and Amanda Garofalo each had two hits and one RBI for the Lady Knights.
