FAIRFIELD, NJ — Family owned JJ’s Hotdogs, now located at 572 Route 46 East in Fairfield, will host its Grand Opening event of the first brick-and-mortar location on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. This is JJ's Hotdogs second location.
JJ’s Hotdogs, first established in 1971 in Newark as a food truck by the Ugliarolo family, boasts the playful slogan "Eat Me" and offers a wide selection of toppings for its popular hotdogs, which have been an icon in New Jersey since the beginning.
"From all over the area, we are proud to hear that we are the best hot dogs in town and we are excited to bring that same commitment to great tasting hotdogs to our new location in Fairfield," the family said.
"I was happily surprised to find a brick-and-mortar version of the truck I used to enjoy during my college days," said Caldwell resident Mike Arnot. "I was even more happy to find that the great tastes remain."
Fairfield Mayor James Gasparini and members of the township council will join the Ugliarolo family to celebrate the official grand opening of JJ’s Hotdogs with a special ribbon cutting ceremony and other surprises.
JJ’s Hotdogs is currently open Monday through Friday at 10:00 a.m. and on Sunday at 11:00 a.m. Closing hours are not listed. The Ugliarolo family says that they are looking into expanded hours on the weekends for those late night "dirty dog" cravings.
