FAIRFIELD, NJ — The annual Township of Fairfield Easter Egg Hunt will be held on the turf field on Saturday, April 15. In case of rain, the event will be held in the new recreation building.
The egg hunt begins at 10:00 a.m. for three-and-four year olds, 10:15 a.m. for kindergarten students, 10:30 a.m. for first graders, and 11:00 a.m. for second graders. All times are approximate, so participants are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes early. Bags will be supplied for children to collect their eggs.
Face painting will take place at the event from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This event will be co-sponsored by the Fairfield Municipal Alliance Committee and Fairfield Recreation. Treats will be handed out to each child in attendance by the Recreation King Dylan Artale and Queen Lola DiNardo.
In addition to announcing the times for the Easter Egg Hunt, Councilman -- LaForgia announced at the council meeting on Monday that on April 4 from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., there will be a “Chef It Up” program for kindergarten-to fourth-grade students.
Students will be making Skateboarding “Peeps,” along with a Garden Dirt Cup, and a Sparkling Strawberry Lemonade. Registration is required.
LaForgia also said that families looking for something fun to do over spring break, should consider dropping their children off at the Fairfield Recreation Center on Wednesday, April 12 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. for a fun afternoon of creating a Mother’s Day surprise gift. Registration is required.
Additionally, the recreation department is sponsoring a trip to Yankee Stadium for Yankee Tote Bag Day on Saturday, April 29. Tickets are available at the recreation building.
Councilman Thomas Morgan reminded residents that Thursday, April 27 is the last day of the early bird special for Fairfield Pool registrations.
