Winter Storm Toby is expected to continue into the early morning hours of 3/22/18. Motorists are urged to use caution during the afternoon commute as travel is likely to be impacted by slick roadways, high winds and reduced visibility. We urge everyone to get an early start home if possible. Reduce your speed so you can arrive at your location safely. NEVER DRIVE OVER DOWNED WIRES OR AROUND BARRICADES!
Somerset County also issued the following statement:
Somerset County Freeholder Director Patrick Scaglione reminds residents to please curtail any unnecessary travel during Winter Storm Toby, in order to allow our emergency services and public works personnel the ability to plow roadways and respond to emergencies. Somerset County issued the following message around 2:30 p.m.
All Somerset County Transportation services will be suspended as of 3:30 p.m. today (March 21) due to weather conditions.
Normal service will resume on Thursday March 22. The system may experience delays and/or cancellations of routes in the aftermath of the storm.
