ESSEX FELLS, NJ - The Essex Fells Police have announced that due to the Winter Storm Warning from 7 p.m. tonight to 1 p.m. Monday Overnight Parking is prohibited Sunday night.
They also said that weather forecasters are predicting light snow to begin tonight. Snow is expected to switch to sleet and/or freezing rain and then back to snow early Monday. Winds up to 20 MPH are also expected. 
 
In an advisory, the police said, “use caution driving,” and advised that icing and winds may cause falling trees, branches and downed power lines.
 

SKATING RACE TODAY
 
In addition, the police have said that today, Fells Road will be closed between Gordon and Forest for the annual skating race, which starts at noon, and to enhance pedestrian safety in the area during the event. The road will reopen around 5:00 p.m.
