WEST CALDWELL, NJ — Robert Hebrank, a 22-year firefighter, was officially sworn in as Acting Fire Chief of the West Caldwell Volunteer Fire Department on Tuesday after the township mayor and council unanimously adopted a resolution authorizing his appointment to this position.

Mayor Joseph Tempesta and Council President Stanley Hladik joined Hebrank as he swore to support the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of New Jersey, and to faithfully, impartially and justly perform all the duties of the office of Acting Chief of the West Caldwell Volunteer Fire Department to the best of his abilities, effective Feb. 6, 2018.

Tempesta thanked Hebrank for stepping up to take over this position and thanked them for protecting both the residents and the properties of West Caldwell.
