West Essex and the Mount Volleyball Teams Join Together for Dig Pink Fundraiser

NORTH CALDWELL, NJ - The West Essex High School Volleyball Teams played volleyball for a good cause when the freshman, JV and Varsity teams played the respective teams from Mt. Saint Dominic Academy on Oct. 23. The volleyball fun was part of the Annual Dig Pink Fundraiser, hosted by West Essex in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The West Essex teams made ribbons for the event which all attendees received and they sold Dig Pink apparel. 

Mt. Saint Dominic Academy students baked many special treats for the bake sale which West Essex Varsity Volleyball team members Colleen Cestari, a junior from Essex Fells, and Amber Bramucci, a junior from Roseland, showed off.

West Essex Varsity Volleyball players junior Erica Lee of Roseland and junior Lindsay Sanderson of North Caldwell sold the goodies made by the Mount volleyball players.

West Essex seniors Jacqueline Schwartz and Karyn Towey, both of Fairfield, sold tickets to the event which each cost $2.

On hand for the occasion was Sydney DeLeo supporting her big sister and West Essex Volleyball player, Dallas Garza, of North Caldwell.

West Essex Volleyball Coach Andrea Mondadori said $1,439 was raised at the event, which was a big success. UBS also generously matched the money raised.

New Jersey Governor Phillip D. Murphy signed Executive Order No.1 on Monday ordering the flag of the United States of America and the Flag of the State of New Jersey to be flown at half-staff to recognize and mourn the passing of the victims in Parkland, FL.

The order is for all state offices, agencies and municipalities, including schools for Tuesday, Feb. 20.

Notice of Budget Meeting for Borough of North Caldwell

NORTH CALDWELL, NJ — The mayor and council of the Borough of North Caldwell will hold a Budget Meeting and Capital Budget Meeting on Tuesday, March 6, at 6 p.m. for discussion on the 2018 Municipal Budget and 2018 Capital Budget.  

This meeting will be held in the Municipal Building, 141 Gould Avenue in North Caldwell.  Action May Be Taken.
