NORTH CALDWELL, NJ - Fifth and sixth grade students from the four West Essex area elementary sending school districts of Essex Fells, FairfieldRoseland and North Caldwell spent a day immersed in music at West Essex High School on April 11.

It was Elementary Music "Buddy Day" and students spent the day singing, playing music and listening to orchestra, band and choral performances by West Essex High School and Middle School music students.

Choral students spent the day working with Middle School Choral Director Donna Mateyka, learning new music and performing. Mateyka is also the advisor at the middle school to the musical groups "No Girls Aloud," Glee Club, All-Girls Pop Chorus and the Competition Treble Choir.
