West Essex High School Hosts Essex County Honor Band

NORTH CALDWELL, NJ - West Essex High School hosted the Essex County Honors Band on April 1. The top musicians in Essex County rehearsed together and then performed a concert in the evening.

Daryl Bott, a former WEHS band director, conducted the group, which featured 150 of the top band students from high schools in Essex County. Bott is currently the associate director of the wind studies program at the Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University.

West Essex students compared the program during the day to a band clinic.

The WEHS musicians who performed with the band were: Kristen Ajmo of North Caldwell; Michael Bachmann of Fairfield; Adam Baran of Fairfield; Justin Cruz of North Caldwell; Victoria Dominguez of Roseland; Melissa Fritz of Fairfield; Brian Gieger of Roseland; Bethany Hou of Roseland; Victoria Limongelli of Essex Fells; and Abby Zimmerman of Roseland.
