NORTH CALDWELL, NJ - West Essex High School students celebrated its 2013 Spirit Week with several fun events and themes Oct. 7-11. Students dressed up in college shirts one day and pajamas on another day. Classes received points for their participation. The week also featured special homecoming activities, the annual senior pancake breakfast and a pep rally.

Students were asked to dress up in their class colors with special T-shirts and other attire. Many students wore colorful accessories including wigs, earrings, facepaint, tutus and even Halloween costumes to show their spirit.

Senior Breakfast 
Seniors enjoyed pancakes and spent time together as a class at the senior breakfast Friday. On hand were seniors John Vento, DJ Zecchino and Mike Dontas, all of North Caldwell who celebrated by dressing as super heroes.

Daniel Ganton of North Caldwell, Michael Colavita of Roseland and Justin Steets of Roseland also enjoyed the senior breakfast in their red, white and blue attire.

Pep Rally 
The day ended with the pep rally featuring a tug-of-war, a dance-off, and relay race along with performances by the West Essex High School Cheerleaders and Dance Team.

At the conclusion of the rally, seniors Joseph Scaglia of Fairfield and Denise Barretti of Essex Fells.we announced as the king and queen of the Homecoming Court.
