NORTH CALDWELL, NJ — Newly graduated West Essex High School student Frank Hunter will be recognized among the best-of-the-best in high school football on Monday when he appears on the North roster for the 2016 Phil Simms North/South All-Star Football Game.

This year’s all-star game will be played on Monday, June 27 at Kean University.

For the senior co-captain, this is a considerable accomplishment and accolade, as there are only about 70 players across the state that are selected to play in this game.

During his years at West Essex High School (WEHS), Hunter played center and nose guard and was a two-year starter. During the 2015 season, he earned 1st Team All-Conference as well as 3rd Team All-State.

“Frank is as tough a player as I've coached and works very hard at becoming the best player he can be,” said WEHS head football coach Christopher Benacquista. “Frank was a leader in so many ways and also was a great player for us. He truly earned the right to play in this prestigious all-star game.”
