ESSEX FELLS, NJ — Through the success of the 2017 West Essex PBA Golf Outing, state delegate and golf committee chairman Brett Keepers was recently able to present a $300 donation check to the Caldwell-West Caldwell, Fairfield, Essex Fells, Cedar Grove, Roseland and North Caldwell recreation departments.
According to the West Essex PBA Local #81, these donations will assist the local recreation departments with any youth athletic programs or events.
The 2017 Golf Outing also supported the PBA's Annual Scholarship program that offers seven scholarships to students from James Caldwell, West Essex Regional and Cedar Grove High Schools. The West Essex PBA said these donations solidify the organization’s commitment to the communities it serves.
The West Essex Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association, Local #81 is a fraternal police organization that represents full time sworn police officers of the Caldwell, Cedar Grove, Essex Fells, Fairfield, North Caldwell, Roseland and West Caldwell Police Departments. The West Essex PBA Local #81 has strived to keep an active role in the towns that its members serve.
Through donations and support of their fundraisers, the members have been able to give back to their communities through sports team sponsorships, donations to local charities and their annual PBA #81 college scholarships.
West Essex PBA Local #81 members also participate in charitable events such as the Law Enforcement Plane Pull, The Law Enforcement Torch Run, The Polar Bear Plunge, Police Unity Tour and NJ Special Olympics Snow Bowl.
