West Essex PBA Raffling Off Only 750 Tickets to Win 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA 250

WEST ESSEX, NJ - This week, the West Essex Policemen’s Benevolent Association released 750 raffle tickets to be sold for the chance to win a 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA 250, valued at $35,385. The raffle tickets are $100 each and all monies raised will benefit the PBA’s charitable Civic Association. The drawing will take place at noon on June 14 at the West Essex First Aid Squad Headquarters, located at 642 Bloomfield Avenue, West Caldwell.

“Only 750 tickets will be sold, and it is expected that all available tickets will sell out fast,” commented President of the West Essex PBA Dave Courter.

West Essex PBA Local 81 
The West Essex PBA Local 81 is made up of officers who work in the following police departments: 

Each year, the West Essex PBA’s Civic Association donates money for college scholarships to deserving local students who attend one of the three local high schools served by officers of the West Essex PBA. In the past ten years, over $100,000 has been donated to scholars who attend James Caldwell, West Essex and Cedar Grove High Schools. This year, seven students selected will each receive a $1,500 scholarship award.

Tickets
Only 750 tickets will be sold at $100 each. Tickets are available from any West Essex PBA Police Officer. The tickets may be purchased with cash or checks made payable to “PBA81 Civic Association.” In addition, every Tuesday night at 6 p.m., PBA members will be present with raffle tickets at Jim Johnston’s Steakhouse, located at 58 Eisenhower Parkway, Roseland.

“Tuesday nights are the steakhouse’s ‘Classic Car Cruise Nights,” explained Courter. “Everyone is welcome to come by and see the brand new 2014 Mercedes-Benz, have a bite to eat and buy a raffle to win the car; supporting a great charity.”

New Jersey Governor Phillip D. Murphy signed Executive Order No.1 on Monday ordering the flag of the United States of America and the Flag of the State of New Jersey to be flown at half-staff to recognize and mourn the passing of the victims in Parkland, FL.

The order is for all state offices, agencies and municipalities, including schools for Tuesday, Feb. 20.

Notice of Budget Meeting for Borough of North Caldwell
